Tips when Buying Online at eBay.

Read all the information the seller supplies, including any terms of sale. Be sure to check the sellers reputation.  If possible, pick a seller that has at least 100 feedbacks and the positive feedback is at least 98 percent.  Your safest choice is a power seller with 100 percent feedback.  Power sellers are people who are interested in looking after their customers because selling on eBay is their business and they cannot afford to have negative feedback.

Find out what the shipping, handling and insurance costs of any item you purchase.  A bargain, with a very high shipping and handling charge may not be a bargain at all.

The "buy it now price" means that you buy the item immediately and bypass the bidding process.

For auctions, always look to see when the closing time is.  Most bids on any single item take place in the last hours and especially the last minutes before closing.  For the seller, the best time for an auction to end is on a weeknight after dinner time or on weekend afternoons.  This is when most people have time to work on their computer creating the most bidding activity.

If you find several items that are the same but the auction closes at different times, go for the ones with the less favorable closing time which is dinnertime any day, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings.  Remember to check for different time zones, factoring it into your closing time evaluation.
